Week Six - Aisha

Week Six

Food

"Where did your camera come from Mom?" Travis looked in wonder.  "This is dinner time not Photo time." added Ben. I than quickly agreed and put the camera away, but not until after capturing my Travis flashing me his all to often smirks.

Mommies  Favorite Food!!

Brats on the grill and a very yummy summer salad. I LOVE this time of year!

Hello and Goodbye!!

While at the carnival the boys loved riding the train.
Hello......Goodbye......Hello........Goodbye.......as it goes around and around and around.

Something Patriotic

What screams more patriotic other than a flag?? Yes, that would be the amazing Manistee fireworks. I'm still trying to edit my flag photos. May still post in a couple of days. I hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July!!
For good results set your camera up on a tripod and use the bulb setting on your camera. Another great tip learned in my photography classes.

What week is this? Six? (Melissa)

This is off road with Boyne Parasailing and those are not my kids watching.  My kids were in Swim School about 50 feet away from this pic.
Alex watering the chickens.  It may be a little cheap for "animals," but I thought it was cute. This nest is my neighbors' robin eggs just in case we can't count the chickens.

Week Five - Aisha

WEEK FIVE

 LATE Morning time
With the heat in the low 80's it was warm enough to water not only the deck garden but the boys as well! Picking strawberries and enjoying the water, what a way to start the day!!

Family Time

Down state in Almont Michigan this past weekend for my cousin Nick's graduation party. The Grundner family gatherings are always a blast! This is my cousin Erin's little sweetie Shelby. We had so much fun, the boys danced the night away!

Outside

While outside Travis and I found this baby praying mantis stuck in a spider web. We saved him and brought him out to our deck garden. You can see here, I raised him up to the light so I could have a nice blue background color. He is cleaning the webs off his back leg. Travis thought he was WAY COOL!!

Ashli - Weeks Four and Five

As you have probably noticed - I did not post photos last week.  I had VBS every day and I just never got around to it.  So I'm posting them all at once.

Week Four

Monday: Kids with Dad
The boys gave Mike a remote control Helicopter for Father's day - they were  SO anxious for him to fly it!

Wednesday: Beating the Heat
The boys and I went to the park on one of the hottest days and it was so hot, all we could do it sit in the shade and make silly faces and play with sticks!

Thursday: Something you Cooked
This was my yellow squash, onion and smoked turkey omelet! Yummy!  That's my all time favorite coffee cup too.

Saturday: Wildlife. ( I could put a picture of my boys running around like wild animals, but I think we've seen enough of that!)
This is not very clear, but the think was so wiggly!  I took the boys to a presentation about bats at the library.  This little guy has a wingspan of 3 feet!  Don't worry, he only eats bugs and lives in Africa!
Saw this cool critter at our campsite!
Sunday: Water
Fun at the beach!

Week Five
Monday: Outdoors
Quinnie at the Campfire

Tuesday: Family Time

This is my friend Sarah with her little girl Lauren - this was her first time coloring and she was really concentrating on trying to pick up the crayons!

Wednesday: Something that starts with P
Our friend Paul with his little girl Lauren

Friday: Dirty Faces
Jackson was REALLY enjoying his ice cream bar!

Sunday: Morning Time
Breakfast both days while we were camping!  The first one is Quinn enjoying his first "box," of cereal and the second his favorite! Pan-pakes as he call them!  He did not get to eat the whole plate, but some days I think he could!

Th-th-th- That's All Folks!

Week Four - Aisha

Week Four

Wildlife
While shutting up for the night my husband found this little guy hanging out on our sliding glass door. Using the deck outside light and setting my shutter speed low and ISO high @ 800 I was able to get this great shot of our night time visitor.

Friends
I took a trip up to Boyne City this week to photograph my friend Michelle's children. As a new Mother of three she was calm and organized (I don't know how she does it!). The Children are always so good. Savannah is the oldest at 3 years old. Nathan is One and a half and Jacob is the newest addition and is under two weeks old. They were so sweet and I am just in love with this shot.

Beat the heat  /   Something I made for dinner

Armed with my new Ninja ( Super Blender) I decided instead of serving watermelon with dinner to eat I would serve it as a drink. Adding watermelon and ice I blended it until the ice turned into a nice snow consistency. Just like a Slurpee at 7 eleven but a whole lot healthier. This Watermelon slush was refreshing, and tasted great with no sugar added!! Such a great treat after playing hard at the park. :) I'm IN LOVE with my new Ninja!!
