Change of Plans

As you have probably noticed, our bloggers have been dropping like flies over the last month or so.  We are all busy moms and some of us have just been too busy to take photos and post.  So, we have decided to change our plan a little going forward.  Beginning with December, we will now have one topic and one concept for the whole month.  We hope that this will give us more time to explore different concepts and a chance to come up with some really great photos.  Stay Tuned...

Week 25 - Amy

Family
Daddy and daughter at the Thanksgiving feast after church.
Friends
The Indians were good friends to the pilgrims and taught them what they needed to know to survive.
Home
We have lots of fun in our home. On this night the kids were sword fighting with balloon swords and milk jug helmets  They also made catapults to fire mini marshmallows.
Food
This was the first course of a four course meal that I made for the Autumn Feast at work. The soup does not look very appealing, but it tasted really good.
Clothes
The kids got new clothes and were very pleased with getting to look so snazzy.
Wealth
Working in the kitchen at work, the place God uses to provide my wealth.
Health
This is from Tirion's last hospital stay in March. We are very thankful for her health and that she has not had to go back in for ten months.

Week 24 - Amy

The Beatles

A Day In The Life
I decided to cook a duck this week. I had to go to the store and told my husband that I needed the duck as dry as he could get it. He asked what he should use and I told him to use paper towels  When I came back, this is what I found. He had a little fan blowing up into the cavity and a box fan for the outside. He said that the paper just stuck to the duck.
Come Together
Several people come together for this co-op style group of wonderful food called Bountiful Baskets. I got all of this for just $16.50. 5 potatoes, 5 ears of corn, 7 bananas, 2 one pound bags of carrots, 5 tomatoes, 1 green tomato, 2 mini watermelons, 1 honeydew, 1 pineapple, 1 bunch of celery and 1 head romaine lettuce.
Fixing A Hole
Filling the cracks that ran through the door-jamb.
The Long And Winding Road
The freeway coming off the mountain down into the valley.
Something
I've seen a lot of the little boy peeing stickers, but never one like this. My friend and I were driving when we were stopped at a light behind this person. I saw the sticker and told her that I had to get a picture of it. Just then the light changed, so we followed the car into the parking lot at Wal-Mart. We followed everywhere she went. She looked like she was parking, so I tried to take a picture. She started driving again, so we followed her. She finally parked and we stopped right behind her, blocking her in. I jumped out to get a good picture. When she got out I apologized for stalking her and told her why we were following her. She thought it was funny and told us where she got the sticker.
When I'm Sixty-Four
I love to sing and play instruments. I hope that I am still doing that when I'm 64.
Woman
Not the greatest picture, but this is my new do I got this week.

Week 24 - Aisha

Week 24

This week was fun! We had our elections, Movie night, school projects, my girls shopping weekend with Ashli, and a busy week at work. I didn't know if I was going to have the photos needed for this week but when looking back, I realized I did.

A day in the life.....

I take my oldest to Kindergarten every morning at 7:50am and my youngest to Preschool (at the same school) at the same time on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On those days I pick Travis up at 11:00 and Ben up at 3:00pm every day. 4-5 times a month I also do recess duty and help out in the lunch room. So on a normal day in the life of... me,this is where you will likley find me two, three, or even four times a day.

Come together

This is a photo of the table I made with my Son, Ben's, Kindergarten class. I am one of the room Mothers and we had to make a project to sell at the school auction. I put so much time into it, I just had to win it that night, and I did!

We all came together to vote this week. Even though, as a Republican, I was not happy with the outcome. I am happy that I live in a Country where the right to vote is a normality!

Fixing a hole

In our family, the best way to fix a hole is to fill it!! :)

A long and winding road

Well...I didn't have a photo for this but when looking through my edited work, I found my edits fit the theme! Amazingly, I didn't edit this to fit the theme...just happened that way! :)

When I'm sixty four

When I'm sixty four, I want a cake with the correct number of candles on it! I don't want the 6 and the 4. Also, I want to be able to blow them all out!!! (This is my husbands Birthday cake)

Week Twenty Three - Ashli

This week was hard for me.  I was very busy getting the final touches on the boys costumes and helping out with their Halloween parties at preschool.  Most of my photos came from the school party on Wednesday and our trip to the Doctor and to play at the park on Friday.  I don't think these are my best photos ever, but it's what  I came up with.  Hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween!

Orange - I had too many to choose from!  I ended up choosing these three:
Thursday evening I attended a leadership training for my MOPS group.  These are our fall table scapes.

One of the many, many geese at Milham Park in Portage.  This photo could also fall under "Scary,"  as my kids were scared of them, and I am not a huge fan of them either.
Quinn's teachers decided to try and be a little healthier for their Halloween celebration - we made pumpkin smoothies!  Yum!

Scary:

Quinn had to go to the Dr. for his well child visit - he was scared he was going to have to get shots.  All turned out well, no shots!

Night:
The Dark Night

Costume:

Caleb's home made Stormtrooper costume - it was a lot of work, but he got so many compliments, it was worth it!

Glow:
This was a leaf at the playground.  The sun was shining through a plastic window of the play structure.  I thought it looked really cool.
