Week One - Aisha

Week One

This is my son Travis. Travis has his Daddy's beautiful green eyes. This too is his natural non edited color. Travis was swinging on the deck swing and I made him stop for a moment so I could capture his beautiful eyes. He is 3 years 5 months old now.
Here is Ben reading one of his favorite books. Well at least reciting from memory and using the pictures. Travis is trying not to let him know that he is listening to him. As you see he is sitting with a DS game telling us he too is reading HIS book.
I am so excited about doing this project with one of my very best friends Ashli. Our boys are about the same age and I can't wait to look back in a years time to see all the amazing small moments we have captured. As Ashli has said, please join us if your willing. There are no bad photos. Just great memories!

Week One - Ashli

Okay, here is our list from week one.  We started late, so it's only Thursday through Sunday:
Thursday - kids eyes
Friday - husband coming home
Saturday-Piece of fruit
Sunday - Child reading

I was able to capture two of these and here they are:
This is my son Quinn, at the time he was trying to sneak a drink of my pop and I caught him. I did crop this photo, but did no other editing.  That is his real eye color.

Watermelon.... Yummy.  My favorite summertime treat.

This week's list:
Monday - the weather/sky
Tuesday - kids in their pajamas
Wednesday - something silly
Thursday - the last thing you bought
Friday - toes
Saturday - family photo
Sunday - bathtub pic
See you next week!

The Beginning

This blog is being created for my friend Aisha and I to share the photos we are taking.  These photos are part of a project we started to try and capture the everyday, commonplace things that happen in our lives.  We are each moms of two young boys so our lives can get really busy and we often forget to memorialize the small stuff.  Things we will forget about in five years when we are immersed in travel soccer and helping our kids with their science fair projects.  Aisha and I have been friends for years, but we live three hours apart, so we don't get to see each other as often as we would like.  This is another way that we can stay connected and keep up with what is going on in each others lives.

The basic idea is that we are going to take turns create the "list," for the week.  The "list," will consist of a different photo idea for each day.  Each of us can then choose which photos we are going to take and when we are going to take them.  The end results will be posted on this blog for everyone to see.  We are open to including others on our blog if you would like to participate, please email us or leave a comment with your contact information.  We are excited to see how this takes off.  Our plan is to each post our photos weekly for everyone to see.  Please check back soon for our first photos!
