Week 14 - Amy

The Zodiac
What's Your Sign?
Virgo
The symbol for Virgo is the virgin, so...this is a virgin Long Island Iced Tea, otherwise known as just Iced Tea.

Earth
The earth has been very good for my cucumbers. I picked all of these cucumbers in one day this week. Yes people, that is a five gallon bucket. I have very fat cucumbers that turn yellow.

Air
Tirion stood in front of the fan for me. She thought it was a little cold, so she put her hands on her face.

Water
We had ourselves a nice Hermiston watermelon. The kids all enjoyed it immensely and got all sticky.

Fire
Oh no she didn't! Oh yes I did. I just flicked a bic and took a picture.

Moon
Well, this was the best picture I could get of the moon. I would have liked it to be a little more detailed, but sometimes you take what you can get. Just be glad I didn't take any pictures of naked butts this week.

Stars
The glow in the dark stars on the boys' bedroom wall with a blue filter on. I think it's kind of interesting how the white-ish stars turned out to be darker than the sky-blue wall with the filter on.

The Planets
This is the title to a book I once read. So I only have one planet.

Aidan had a blast playing with his friends at the campground,
they were all taking turns soaking each other with the hose!

What's camping without a fire?
It was nice to hang out by the fire with my mom after the kids were asleep :)

Week 14 - Michelle

Alright, I must say my sister challenged me this week.  Some of my pictures were a bit of a stretch.  I only take pictures with my humble iPhone because my "real" camera is so obsolete.  Needless to say, the beautiful stars in Texas could not be photographed by me.

I did notice the list had 8 items, so I chose to forgo Fire.

Aries

Alright, Aries is a ram and my neighbor Lulu here is a goat, but who's keeping track??

Earth

This is Buster, our hermit crab moving the earth around in his tank.

Air

Go State!!

Water

A beautiful morning on Lady Bird Lake . . .

Moon

My best shot of the Blue Moon on Friday.

Stars

Harrison Ford is a star, right? (Even if emulated in Legos?)

Planet

Mmmmm. Yogurt Planet is a great after school treat!

Week 15- the list

School time is among us, so I thought I'd throw a back to school photo op in for us!
I only have 6 items on our list, as we had a day off for Labor Day :)

Here's this week's list!

Back to School

End of Summer

Looking Down

At Work

Clutter

On My Plate

Week Fourteen - Ashli

Well, it was a crazy week and I did not take a lot of photos.  Contrary to the prior weeks when I thought I didn't get a lot of photos, only to discover I had more than I thought, this week I truly only got four. :-(  I'd like to say the next two weeks will be better, but they will be spent getting ready for vacation and actually going on vacation, so we'll see.  Here's what I got:

Fire:
Our campfire Friday night
Air:

Stars : I read an online tutorial about how to take pictures of stars.  I was hopeful, but not too optimistic since I did not have the super wide angle lens they said you needs.  Anyway, I set my aperture to 2.8, my shutter speed to 15 seconds (as high as it will go)  and this is what I got.  I did enhance them a little, but I didn't add any fake stars, just helped the ones that were there to come through.  In the last one, the bushes look very orange because of the glow of a neighboring campfire.  It's my favorite!

The Big Dipper

Moon:

Week 14- Aisha

ZODIAC Week 14

Once again, I did not get the entire list completed. One of these day I will get all SEVEN! Now that my season is coming to an end at the hotel I may get out a little more. Ben starts Kindergarten tomorrow, I can't believe it! Because of this I will get to spend some more one on one time with Travis (his little brother). I hope to be able to do a lot more outside this fall with him AND my camera. It's coming, my favorite time of year.....FALL!!!!! yay!

AIR (see photos below)

My boys playing with milk week pods....watching the seeds float through the air.

One of my beautiful Seniors...the air was warm and the breeze made our photo!

STARS (see photo below)

These are my three stars. They were all SUPER STARS in my book today. Todd was extremely patient when teaching my boys today. The boys were very good and listened well. I LOVE these family golf outings!

FIRE (see photo below)

A dragon fly, the color of fire. These dragon flies were everywhere. I was trying to get a photo of a firefly but couldn't find any this week.

WATER (see photo below)

The very popular WATER shot. This is the pose most ALL of my girls want when going out this time of year. The crooked horizon bothers me very much but she likes it, so that's what counts.

Week 14 - Melissa

The Zodiac

(What's your sign)

Capricorn is the sign of the goat so I took a picture of a sign with a goat.

Earth

Did you ever try to plant your fruit pits when you were young?  This kid got a peach to sprout.  It is still small but he is excited to see it grow.

Air

We had a windy day and hadn't gotten the kite out in a while so we went down to the park.  It only got into the trees once.

Water

The Fountain at Old City Park.

Fire

Thank goodness for the Labor Day Car Show here in town helping me out with some photos.  This beauty had the coolest side exhausts with flames.

Moon

Friday's Blue Moon.

Stars

The star on my in-laws garage.

The Planets

This was a car decoration at the car show.  It has the Americas but a ring like Saturn.  Not exactly accurate but it was pretty cool looking.

I did, however, find a Mercury!
