Week Nine - Aisha

Week Nine

This week was busy with work, work, and some more work. Being a hotel owner, Photographer, and a Mother of two boys has been wearing me a little thin lately. I did get some great shots in and did find some fun in our everyday activities. I am a BIG believer in crafts and imagination as you will be able to see in some of my photos here this week. I am missing one last photo (shoes) and hope to get it up tomorrow. As for now I will post what I have uploaded.

Daily routine

Here is my spot most every morning. At my hotel, Days Inn of Manistee. We have a 93 room hotel and now in the thick of summer you can only imagine how busy we are. This is my breakfast room looking onto the lobby.

Another angle of our breakfast room. I am very proud of this room. We totally remodeled it two winters ago and has been a huge hit with my customers.

Self Portrait

Here I am after a healthy round of rock painting with my boys. I set my camera up on our hot tub and in the process got my camera a little dirty. That's ok....my clients may just think I have a little more personality on my next shoot!

A Snack

Ben and Travis LOVE eating grapes off the vine. Ben hates getting his hands dirty so this is right up his alley!

A Collection

Here is the collection of our painted rocks. The boys LOVE to do crafts and it is a huge part of our weekly routines. We do a craft like this at least 2-3 times a week.

Had to throw this one in. Travis dropped some paint on this rolley polley bug and than exclaimed that he created bug art!!

Week 9 - Ashli

This week I didn't think I was taking enough photos, or the right photos, but when I sat down to look at them on the computer, I found that I actually had the list in mind more than I had realized.  I did not take a picture of my mail,  but I got all the rest!

Daily Routine
This morning the boys were making up their own Olympic sport, kinda like drag racing, only running... With a light saber, while I watched The Today Show

Self Portrait
Trying to get through to my inner self
A Treat
This was the cake at our neighbor girl's birthday party.  The cake I always wanted when I was a little girl!
Quinn anticipating a piece of Barbie cake. Yum!

A Collection
At the Park - Caleb was collecting firewood for his "fire."
My Favorite Beverage
Sadly, it is caffeine free now.  But still delicious and refreshing!
Shoes, Who needs Shoes?
My neighbor, her three daughters and I all got Pedicures on Friday. Just for fun.  Don't our toes look adorable?
THE END

Week 9-Theresa

Daily Routine:
So.. here was our Monday morning routine.. or complete lack of one!
Aidan was completely zoned out watching TV.

Self Portrait:
Took a pic of myself in Addie's room while she was asleep.

Treat:
I have been trying for months to get Aidan to try Nutella,
he FINALLY did & loved it! (I knew he would!)

Mail:
Just a magazine & a bill today!

a Collection:
Aidan has started to collect Pez dispensers,
he has 23 of them & loves to play with them..
love that he is always on the lookout for more to add to his collection.

Favorite Drink:
I know that this is a terrible drink choice, but I LOVE Mt. Dew!
Tastes good AND keeps me awake? Sold.

Shoes:
Aidan's flip flops, always right by the front door & ready for him to grab & go!

Week Nine - Amy

Week 9

Monday
Daily Routine
The daily, or rather multiple times a day, routine is changing Tirion's diaper. After her bath she said, "I do it, Mommy!" and attempted to put on her own diaper. She was unsuccessful and required help, but it was sure cute to watch her try.

Tuesday
Self-Portrait
I think this picture captures my personality absolutely perfectly: goofy! And it makes me think of the movie Despicable Me..."Light-bulb!"

Wednesday
A Treat
Kieric has taken an interest in learning to cook. This week he learned to make brownies. He licked the spatula and Tirion licked the whisk. I don't make a lot of goodies in my house, so this was definitely a treat.

Thursday
Mail
What's there to say about this one? It's just a pile of mail. What I really wanted to take a picture of for this day was some chain mail from a suit of armor, but we don't have one and I don't know of any place in town to visit that does.

Friday
A Collection
I don't really collect anything. So, this is the boys' collection of Skylanders for their Wii game. They thoroughly enjoy the game and are looking to add more to their collection of characters.

Saturday
Favorite Beverage
I don't really have a favorite beverage either. Maybe that's because I don't drink a lot of fluids. Anyway, I digress. Kool-Aid seems to be the favorite in the house. All the kids love it and so does Shane. Orange is Shane's favorite and the kids will drink any flavor.

Sunday
Shoes
This our shoe bucket. All of the kids' shoes go in it. I never have to hear, "Mom, I can't find my shoes!" They just go to the shoe bucket. We also have a sock bucket, since that seems to be the next hardest clothing item to find. And they're already in pairs. Both buckets are located next to each other, right in the living room. Easy to find.

DAILY ROUTINE

Most days, this is the sidewalk I take to my in-laws house to pick up the kids.  Since I work nights, the kids love the quality time with their grandparents.

SELF PORTRAIT

It may not be of my face, but here's a portrait of the other end because my toes are painted pretty.

A TREAT

At only $1 a cone ($1.50 for dipped) ice cream at McDonald's is an easy treat for everyone.

This is my niece, Rowyn.  She really liked her ice cream.

MAIL

My nieces were at Camp Daggett this week and this is the stash we "sent" them.  Even though I was able to drop their goodie boxes off in the tote at the entrance, my sister says they enjoyed their mail.

A COLLECTION

Eventually, I knew hanging on to all those life jackets would come in handy...  then my sister came to town and added more.

SHOES

All ten of my kids, nieces, and nephews are here for two weeks.  This is what it looks like on the beach while they are swimming.
