Week 8- Theresa

Weird Science:
Aidan had fun experimenting with baking soda & vinegar,
he called the reactions "little explosions!"

Some Kind of Wonderful:
I loved watching my boys run around soaking each other with squirt guns,
it makes me happy to watch them play together.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles:
The ride to swim lessons this week have been S L O W moving,
the construction wasn't very fun to go through every morning!

The Breakfast Club:
We were up bright & early every day this week for Aidan's swim lessons!

Pretty In Pink:
Our sweet Adalyn, all smiles at dinner time!

The Great Outdoors:
Addie had me up quite early Sunday morning,
so we went outside & watched the sunrise together!

Week 8 - Melissa

WIERD SCIENCE
Tyler (10) goes to Adventure Club at the Boyne Library.  He came home with "candy sushi." They say that rolling sushi is a "true science." Ok, so maybe it is a very liberal translation.

We went to Kiteley's Farm & Market.  If you look closely at the spider hanging out on the raspberry, you can see his eyes looking at YOU!

THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Again, at Kiteley's, here is Alex hanging out while we pick raspberries.

PRETTY IN PINK
I think I have said it before, I LOVE the sunsets at Michigan Beach in Charlevoix.  The sun/sky is always pretty when it is pink.

PLANES, TRAINS, AND AUTOMOBILES

Its a cool plane.

Train tracks in Walloon taken from our car.

SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL

THE BREAKFAST CLUB
Ok, so it isn't a traditional club sandwich but for breakfast, I love a good bagel sandwhich!

Week 8 - Ashli

This week we had a theme for the first time.  It was a great theme and I was very excited about it, but found it to be HARD!  I enlisted a little bit of help from family and friends to get ideas and here is what I came up with.  Hope you enjoy them.  Also, Welcome to our new bloggers: Amy, and Anne!

The Breakfast Club
Believe it or not, the top shelf of our pantry often looks like this. One of the perks of being a Kellogg family.

Mike's breakfast while we were camping. :-)

Some Kind of Wonderful
This is my mother in law with a very tired Quinn.  I know she is thinking this is wonderful to have him snuggling with her.  I am so thankful to have a wonderful mother in law who love my children SO much!

Pretty In Pink

This is Mike's cousin Todd who is secure enough in his masculinity to wear pink.  And he looks good in it!
The Great Outdoors

The sun setting over Crystal lake

Caleb pondering  how the vast expanse of water in front of him mirrors his life.  ;-)

Weird Science
I froze a bunch of toys and trinkets in a large block of ice and gave the boys tools to excavate them with.

Quinn like the water bottle, Caleb favored the screw driver and hammer approach.

Week Eight - Amy

Week 8

OK, so this is my first attempt at a blog. I've always hated journaling and I've always looked at blogs as just an online journal, but I like the idea of different pictures for each day of the week. It gives me a goal without my having to think of what to say on my own. So I'm giving it a whirl and am jumping in at week eight. I'm what you would call an all-or-nothing kind of person, so some of the pictures may be hokey (see Saturday), but I am going to have one for each day of the week. Enjoy and join us in the fun!

Monday
 Planes, Trains & Automobiles

This is one of the many trains that passes by our house on a daily basis. Behind it is the hospital, so we also get ambulances and helicopters.

Tuesday
Some Kind Of Wonderful

I think a sleeping three-year-old is one of the most wonderful things ever. It gives me a break from the noise and she looks so adorable asleep.

Wednesday
Pretty In Pink

This week is the first time I have ever painted Tirion's toenails. She loved the pink and ran around the house showing everyone.

Thursday
The Great Outdoors

Kieric took his first ride on a four-wheeler. He said it was the funnest thing ever and now wants us to get one. Dag and Tirion also got rides, but I missed getting pictures of them. They loved it, too. I'm sure they will be talking about it for weeks to come.

Friday
Weird Science

Kieric and Dagny learned what happens when you mix baking soda with vinegar. It looks especially gross because I only had balsamic vinegar in the house.

Saturday
The Breakfast Club

OK, so I was scrounging as to what to use for this one. So I took a picture of the oatmeal box. Hey, it's what's for breakfast most days.

Sunday
Home Alone

This is what happens in the kitchen when our two dachshunds are left at home alone and we forget to put them in the back room. Luckily, the garbage wasn't too full and no poopy diapers, 'cause they really like those.

Week Eight - Aisha

Week Eight....We had a busy week! Starting with Michigan Adventure with water slides, rides and lots of sunshine we had some great family time. It seemed our week never stopped. Outside was our theme this week and we had a blast! We LOVE summer!!

______________________________________________________________________

Planes, trains, and automobiles.

Here is Travis driving Hannah around in his cool car while at Michigan adventure. He thought he was the coolest kid in the park. Who wouldn't driving a cool pink car with a beautiful girl on their side! :) (this was a ride in the park)

Some kind of Wonderful

Here are my beautiful boys. Ben defiantly looks out for his brother and hugging is not an issue for these two. Don't let them fool you, they know how to fight just as much!

Some kind of Wonderful #2

I LOVE this photo of Ben waving to his little brother who is standing on top of the slide. Travis, age 3, is so proud to be doing it himself!

Pretty in Pink

My Oriental Lillie's are going wild at our hotel this year. The front of our business looks so beautiful. Now to get the customers to act as these flowers look! Its been a busy week at the hotel and with that brings out the crazies!

The Great Outdoors

Travis is filling up his bucket of soapy water so he can wash his bike and trucks. Something him and Ben LOVE to do on our warm summer days.

I count this as weird science.

The boys were fascinated that they could put water inside the cab of the firetruck. Than after filling it had to turn the truck over to see where the water drained from. This entertained them for quite some time. While in turn gave them some nice quality teamwork brother style!

Weird science #2

Weeds that looked very cool as I laid down on the ground to get the sky as a backdrop. I guess you can call it weird science nature style!
