Week 16- Aisha

Week 16

This week I had a hard time picking up my camera. Thank goodness we had a list or I would of missed out on some of these great shots! Its getting colder out there. If you enjoy the sunset photos in the summer make sure you get out there in the next couple of months. The cooler the air the crisper the photo! No more warm air haze, it makes for a great shot!!

Black and White ( see photos below)

Glitter (see photo below)

The sun decided to peek out for a quick bit just before sunset. Giving all of us a glittery show while gazing at the mighty Lake Michigan.

Patterns in Nature

Same night different time. The pattern of holes in the clouds are not photo shopped. Looked as if God was having fun poking his finger through the clouds making a straight line. If the line were over just a little bit, it would of made a perfect line right to the lighthouse.

Action shots (see photos below)

This is one of my Senior boys. Showing off right before taking his photos with his dirt bike. I look forward to the day he takes me out to practice my action shots with his buddies.

Week 16 - Amy

WEEK 16

Portrait of a Loved One
My darling husband, Shane, at a very tired point.

Lips

Charlie with his lip, teeth and tongue. I figured everyone else was going to use people, so I thought I would use an animal.

Black & White

Kieric has been balking at getting a haircut and won't keep his hair brushed. I showed him videos on YouTube of guys getting designs carved in their hair and had him hooked. He chose a phoenix and Dag chose a T-Rex. I drew the pictures on their heads with a Crayola marker first and then shaved the designs. The marker washed off easily.

Glitter
Kieric blowing glitter out of his hand. Also a great picture for lips.

Action Shot
I got some great action shots at the Round Up this week, but this was my favorite.

Perspective Photo
Grrrrr! I didn't get one of these this week. Maybe I'll try to get one tomorrow and edit my post.

it was a gorgeous day for a wedding, the water was glistening!

week 15- Theresa

I completely forgot to post last week's photos! Oops!

Here's what I got:

Back to School:

Aidan had to be up bright & early to catch the bus at 6:40!
He was so excited, I was so emotional.. not quite ready for my boy to go to kindergarten..
he did amazingly well!

Clutter:

Our living room floor never seems to stay picked up very long..
it is constantly decorated with toys!

Looking Down:

Adalyn was playing on the floor, giving me a "what?" look as I took her picture! :)

At Work:

Aidan had a weekend homework assignment, to decorate an apple with found objects from home.. no crayons, pencils or markers could be used.. he loved digging through our craft stash to make his apple!

On My Plate:

We had grilled cedar planked salmon TWICE this week.. it was that good!
Love that Tony enjoys grilling, I enjoy eating it! ;)

End of Summer:

Black walnuts are everywhere in our backyard, that means that fall is almost here!

week 16- bobbie

I had fun this week not all my pics turned out as planned but I enjoyed trying new things.

Week Sixteen - Ashli

This week I was on Vacation in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  We were BUSY!  We did so many things I feel like I can't even remember them all; Zoo, Aquarium, Botanical Garden, Rio Grande River, Natural History Museum, Kid's Museum, Jemez Mountains, Santa Fe and The Sandia Park Tram.  Phew!  Here is what I came up with for the week's list:

Portrait of a Loved One:
I asked Caleb to stop and pose while he was climbing on a big rock near Jemez Springs.  He's such a ham.

Lips:
I caught Caleb eating his Froot Loops on the first morning of our vacation.

Black & White:
My two sons brushing their teeth at the hotel - the night before we flew out.  Love this one!

A Pattern Found in Nature:

Do you see it?

Perspective Photo:

This one isn't perfect but I think it looks cool.

Goofing around at the Children's Museum

Caleb Grew and Mike shrunk!

Week Fifteen - Ashli

I know I am a week late getting this up, but the week before my vacation was CRAZY!  I didn't take ONE photo between Sunday and Friday!  So I took all the photos for weeks fifteen and sixteen this week while vacationing in New Mexico. My parents and my family went to Albuquerque to visit my brother and his wife. I took about a million more photos too, some of which you can see on Facebook.   I had to wait until this morning for the Back to School shots, since my boys started preschool later because of our vacation. Here is what I came up with:

Back to School:

Looking Down:

I saw this horse sculpture on a roof while we were walking around Santa Fe.  I thought he was cool.

I believe this is the Mississippi River - saw it from the plane as we were preparing to land in Minneapolis.

At work:
The boys had lots of fun with the electricity exhibit at Explora - the Children's museum in ABQ

Clutter:
This used to be my baker's rack in my kitchen - now it's in the dining room filled with the kids arts and craft supplies. It is packed with FAR too much stuff!

On My Plate:

Green Chile Pizza - Everything in Albuquerque has either red or green chile on it.  This was deliciously spicy!
